Sianz... today is already the 30th Dec... which means school's going to start in 4 days time... Actually is 3, since it's about half an hour to midnight.

Anyway, I finally did more homework today!! Went to study in the library with JiaSheng aka my mei mei no. 2. I like studying with him! (Cuz he can help me do maths) Wahaha... but I think studying with todds is still better. Cuz more fun. And she's nt as smart as Jiasheng, so wun stress me! Haha...

I think I'm becoming a lil blur recently. Twice, I forgot to bring my keys and ended up being locked out of my OWN house. -.- And yesterday, I forgot to bring my handphone home! Apparently I left it on the table where I was wrapping stuff and didn't take it when I left. -.- again. It's just the start-of-school blues. Really. Cuz Eunice =/= blur. It's a bad omen, really.

My aunt bought a log cake ysd, though it was past christmas. we kinda had a mini post-christmas celebration at our house. nothing much actually, just dinner and cutting cake. i took a pic of the cake!! it was very cute! there was a little house, a little santa and mushroom(as big as santa) and a deer(bigger than santa)! lol...

my past few days have been pretty busy, though i'm nt a christian, it's Christmas!! Haha... We had Hardcore outing as I mentioned, so I'm going to post some pics of Hardcorers at East Coast...

Oh, and after that, I went to help out at Expo. Doing some sales thingy for Christmas cuz I was 0ne of the Project SMILE trained people. I watched the magic show too. It was great! Lawrence and Priscilla are great magicians man... Selling magic stuff is actually quite fun. Nigel let us off at a great time man, me and yuan caught the last train back. And oh, I took a pic with Priscilla when she came out to autograph the magic books. Here is it:

Yesterday and today was fun! Though i am super tired aft these 2 days of sctivities, bit i still think it's worth it...

ysd, we went to RCHD to carol for the residents. Some of them were happy to see us there. actually it was nothing much, just went there to spread the joy of christmas. after that, i went home for a nap before meeting chiching to go minling's house. It was fun staying over. We played games and chatted. Me and CC got a little high. Haha.. we chatted till around 3am before minling n CC finally fell asleep.

tis morning.... i overslept!! haha... and arrived to meet the hardcorers late. haha... as usual... sorry guys if u had to wait. then it was off to East Coast! Today was a great accomplishment for Labit, cuz he learnt how to ride a bike! I can't say the same for Sweez though. He doesn't have tt much luck with the blades. Cheeki same as Sweez, except tt he's more powerful, cuz he got the Chidori and the pumping position~ haha... And it rained halfway!! while i was walking summore.... sians...

13 is an unlucky number!!! today we took 13 to east coast, so we took 13 back. but the route was different and we ended up lost!!! and we sat all the way to kallang to take train back to Expo. And all the traffic lights at Kellang Mrt's station's junction spoil!! Haha... cars running from anywhere. next up was ,agic show. what can i say? lawrence and priscilla were great!! their tricks r simply marvellous, no wonder can go so many countries to perform. selling tricks is oso rather fun.

Nicholas Tse is soooo shuai!!!!

I've just watched 'The Promise' today. It's damm nice! OMG... y are the most handsome actors always the baddies? My mum thinks tt Zhang Dong Jian is more handsome.. tt is absolutely NOT TRUE! Zhang Dong Jian acting as a slave and he really looks like one beside Nicholas lah... and towards the end he was sooo cute lah! "Shi ni rang wo bu zai xiang xing ren he ren, bao kuo wo zi ji" OMG!!! aahhhh!!! okok, fine. i'm a little over le.. haha... ok, here's a pic of him below...

And Cecilia Cheung is so pretty in the movie!! Ok, she IS supposed to be pretty, even mesmerising, in the movie. And so cute! Nicholas and Cecilia met when they were kids! Haha... picture below, courtesy of Encore Films.

It's a fantasy about a promise Cecilia (Qing Chun) made to the god as a child. And she eventually found her true love in ___.. haha... fill in the blank. watch to find out! I felt tt it was quite interesting, though a little complicated. Aniway, it still rox! wahaha...

some random tots...

i was listening to 拜金女孩 ... listening to the lyrics, i realised how superficial the world is.

Money is important, it's a fact I don't deny, because it's a FACT. But is it really so important? Are beauty and looks the most important thing in a girl's life?

I remeember Vinny once said "Einstein is the smartest man on Earth. He was smart enough to realize that humans are the stupidest creatures on Earth, that humans are no smarter then cows, horses or dogs."
Can't really remember his exact words, but it was something close to what I've typed. Anyway, dunno y, I just linked these 2 together. Humans are stupid, that's why they're superficial. I remember seeing on a documentary once, on how an animal (can't remember which) selects it's mate. The males will fight to prove it is the strongest and the female will mate with the strongest of the males. But then again, isn't the female selecting her mate based on the physical aspect of the male? [no more crap about animals having no feelings, cuz we're not animal, we wun noe] So does tt means tt humans, assuming that humans have the same intelligence level as animals, are just being superficial because animals are too?

ok fine, y tots are really too random. i'm thinking too much. juz lead a simple and nice life. who cares anyway.

I AM BACK!

OSLE ROX!~

Lol... A little high. The trip to Li Jiang, China had left me with a deep impression and lots learnt. Culture was something that left me with a deep impression. first, lemme talk about the traffic in China.

Imagine this in ur head. U're squeezed with 6 other friends in a mian bao che (mini van) and off u go! U look in front, the driver is smoking IN the van. (tt is so wth alr) and u look out of the windscreen, u see a car coming frm the direction u're heading in, both ur vehicle and that in the SAME lane. Just as u think u were about to collide, the driver skillfully managed to turn out of the lane to avoid that car and turn into the lane again after passing the car. U stared at the driver in awe and wondered how he managed to do that.

Ok, fine. That was an exaggerated version of my experience of sitting in a mian bao che in China. But the part about 2 cars in the same lane going in opposite direction is true. And about smoking in the car too.

Next, about the toilet. I (along with the whole OSLE team I assume) am never so grateful for toilets in Singapore. First, the city toilet. In the college, the toliets are in different standard, depending on which part of the school u're in. The best toilets are clean and there are 3 cubicles in a toilet, sharing 1 door. Yes, 1 door. The cubicles itself has no doors at all. It is just a hole with 3 sides covered. Well, at least it was covered from floor to ceiling. Another kind of toilet in the school was more different. There was no door. One simply had to walk into the sign and turn, lo and behold! There's the toilet! About 10 holes in the ground seperated by short walls. Wasn't even flushable. And the toilet itself is a small building by itself (if u could call it) and it has no ceiling (which makes sense cuz it would stink like hell if it's enclosed) but then again, it is nt safe.

In Mingying, the toilets were no better. In fact, it was just about the same or worst. The toilets in our inn was a cubicle with a low door and the toilet bowl was just a hole in the ground. The sanitary conditions were well, need I say more?

Next, lemme move on to talk about the culture I saw. 2 things I noticed.
1) They spit all over the place.
2) They smoke all over the place.

I don't think I need to elaborate more about 2). The fact that the driver smokes while driving itself is a point good enough to backup my observation. Now, about point 1). What I've noticed is that I must walk carefully. Not to the extent of look at the ground every second, but just haf to keep a lookout for the people walking in front of you, just in case they spit on the way.

Now, about people. 3 events left a very deep impression on me.

1st event: In Bangkok on the flight to Kunming.
It just happens so that 100001 other chinese nationals were on the same plane as us, and we happened to be so unlucky that we were passing thru the baggage check at the same time. Initially, OSLE team was in 1 straight line. In the end, we were seperated by people who cut our queue. Guess who? *rolls eyes* yea. And there was this man that so totally pissed me off. He told me "Excuse me." so I thought it was smth important and I let him cross. And that freaking bastard cut my queue! Wtf! I nv knew 'Excuse Me' could be used this way! I was damm pissed man. The moment he was about to push me, I pushed him back. Bastard. Abuse the politeness of etiquette.

2nd event: In Mingying.
The ever-enthu kids made our sufferings worthwhile. Class 38 rox!~ I was with Faith, JS, PeiYee and Heidi in a class. Our class rox!~ On top of being the class with the best english standard, all the students were very enthu about learning and only 1 left for the weekend. the rest stayed for our english programme. their passion for studying made me quite ashamed that i sleep in class sometimes (nt tt i will stop, but will juz try to slp less)

3rd event: In LJEC
We were hungry and tired after rehersals for cultural nite [thanks to roasted pork for saying how gd their programme would be]. while queueing up for hot water(to eat cup noodle) along with the rest of the LJEC students, some girls came forward and asked "Are you students from Singapore?" when we said yes, they helped us fill our cup noodles with hot water instantly. it was a gracious act and i truly appreciated that.

Now, R&R. totally rox!~ my bargaining skills came to good use in Old Town where the sellers jack up the price by a horrifying 6 times! Damn scary sia. Bargaining is actually quite fun! And when you get the price you wanted, there was a kind of sense of satisfaction. It wasn't so much about the price actually, a diff of 10 yuan is only about S$2. It was the fun in it. Lol...

What I have learnt
comments from friends and teachers is that i have grown. in the sense that i am more confident, i am more willing and able to lead. personally i felt that i have learnt alot, especially in Mingying where I was the sort of O i/c for a day when Lionel was ill. I felt that I have learnt lessons in time managment as well as human resorce allocation. I learnt that as a leader, one should never run around. Always stay at a place where you can be found. I have really lernt what is called responsibility.
