FROGS

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants.

The race began.... Honestly, No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as: "Oh, WAY too difficult!!" "They will NEVER make it to the top." or "Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one.... Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher.... The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!" More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher.... This one wouldn't give up! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top! T

HEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out....

That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is: Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic.

Because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart! Always think of the power words have. Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions! Therefore: ALWAYS be....POSITIVE!

And above all: Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!

It's been a weird day.

This afternoon, while my guides were having foot drill training, one of my girls just burst out crying. As everyone left the parade square to go to the classroom, she sat down on the parade square and cried. she refuesd to tell us why she's crying. i've been in guides for the 6th year now, and it's my very first time i saw someone cry cuz of training. And the girls are only told to do 15 push-ups. I was more puzzled than worried, cuz for some reasons, this girl just makes me feel that she's more vulnerable than most. And we haven't done foot drills for well, 10 000 years already. And it's the first time we make the girls do push ups. which is so -_-

When my brother came back this evening, i was happily using the com. He walked up beside me and said

"I can't believe my good friend passed away."

I went "Wad?!" and he sat quietly on the sofa behind me.

"And he is my good friend! I thought Joey was kidding when he told me the news just now." he said. "Have you seen him before? No, I don't think you have."

I was shocked. His friend, like my bro, is 20. He had just gotten out of NS and he had his whole life ahead of him. He went to a barbecue with my bro just last week. And my bro would never see him ever again. I can never imagine that happening to me.

I decided that I will never ever ride a motorcycle, and I'll strongly discourage my friends from riding one too. It isn't the first motorcycle-accident case my bro's friends got into. There were a couple more, involving broken arms and legs and stuff. But this time, a life had been lost. I've seen enough motorcycle accidents to see what damage one single accident can cause. Weeks in hospital, loss of life, breaking up of a family cuz he's no longer there.... I['ll never allow my bro to ride a motorbike or take a lift in one again. Ironic how i was the only one to support him when he learnt biking.

Mummies are scary!! (not my mum, as in, real mummies) Yea. I watched a documentary on Fri. About, of cuz, Mummies. In the 1970s, in the heights of Mao's cultural revolution, a Mummy was discovered in a part of China. It was buried deep underground and was discovered only because the place was being dug up for some kinda construction. Anyway, the Mummy was wrapped in 20 layers of silk, put in no less then 5 coffins, and a huge tomb was built for her. In the coffin was some kind of liquid, that prolly preserved it. It's face was swollen, the skin mud brown, but other than that, it was in close to perfect condition. The limbs were still movable, flexible even, and the organs are still intact! Tt's a real WOW! It totally trashed the Egyptian Mummies man.

kk, enough about Mummies le. my bro is trying to nag mi to letting him use the com. shall go off now. But b4 tt, i muz come to a conclusion:

"Girls are sick, scary and dangerous." quoted from Cui some time last year. Lemme add: especially Meis. Well, at least mine is. Anyway, met up eith my mei (xian) today. she is damm sick, scary and dangerous!! omg... dunno y i let her b my mei oso, bringing trouble to myself sia. but chatting with her was quite fun. and hear he 'bao dou' about some of my other juniors from school. we should catch up more often, tt is, after our major exams. she's having her Os tis yr and me, my As. Ai... she is so totally opposite of me la! I used to do well in maths n sciences, and she totally flunked both of tt, but the SS get like, 43/50 tt kind of marks!! omg, i dunno how she do it la, i always crap at my SS exam de... then always get like, crap results? hahaha... ya. anyway, i think i squeese everything into 1 para cuz i lazy to put space! i dun care la. i wanna stop le. bye bye!

I went to attend a rally today! My first time going to one! (my dad's first time too) I've learnt 3 lessons:

1) Political rallies is a time where you hear a party picking on the weak points of others
2) There are so many people around, you can fall asleep counting them. More effective than counting sheeps.
3) If you want a snack to go, there's always an ice-cream push cart available.
