Awww... I didn't know so many people missed me when i was away today! i got 8 sms, and 3 of them from.... *ahem* yinghui! *shy* yinghui misses mi so much! i bet she always resist the tempetation to msg me every now and then :P
right right, back to wad i'm supposed to blog about: my shopping trip to batam. Well, basically, I would say that shopping in JB (Or S'pore) would be nicer. Well, at least clothes wise, there would be more clothes to buy. their clothes are like made for dwarfs la... i came to 2 conclusions:
1) The ancestors of Batam residents used to work in Willy Wonka's choc factory
OR
2) Their ancestors are actually Hagrid's relatives, which explains why larger sizes are not available since they're all snapped up. (the smaller sizes will be snapped up too, literally, when they're worn)
Either way, it resulted in me and my cousin not getting the clothes we want. Thankfully, I got 2 t shirts!! And they're not white, and certainly NOT 3 for $10! (of 30 for $10, or 300 for $10) *glares at ck and cui* And the shirts! the brand is 'fish bone'. ok, it's not. i call it fish bone, since the label shows a fish bone. and they are hot pink and lime green! hehe. tt sounds so un-me like to buy such A.A colours. Well, i can always try something out for a change. and the clothes, it's prolly the type toddler will go "ooo" and "ahhh" at (since our taste quite similar)
Not surprisingly, I find Batam shopping centers quite like the ones in JB. And they all haf 1 common point which i hate: Indoor smoking is not banned. It'a bad enough to smell the disgusting, revolting cigrette smoke in public places (like the ferry terminal) but smelling them inside shopping centers, and finding yourself inhaling the yucky smoke is absolutely sick. Every i go, there seem to be the smell lingering around. (Or maybe it's just my dad embracing the culture there, if u can even call it a culture)
ooo and did i mention? i hardly saw a traffic light there!! i rembember (in the back of my excellent memory) that a tour guide once told me there are only 36 traffic lights in the whole Batam, despite being slightly bigger than S'pore! And the driving style... ai, reminds me of LiJiang. Need i explain more?
(sidetrack: a lorry got into accident when i'm typing this! it's now at the side of the road, half turned over. the ambulance and traffic police are here already! so efficient! man, tt's y my mum always say "if can afford, better to stay in s'pore" so true. )
kk, side track over.
*yawn* tired le. blog again tml or smth ba. nite!~
