I'm bored! I shall blog now.

Hmmm. A chat with Nana yesterday made me 感触良多. I told Nana I thought that people should not regret decisions with they have already made and not cry over spilled milk. And that I think it doesn't really matter whether your friend view you as an important friend or not, or that he/she has made new friends and is no long close to you. Instead, as long as the friend is truthful and sincere and 真实, we should be contented.

I used to think that I was quite shallow and superficial, as in, i don't really think so much unless i have to. (i dun really see the point in thinking too much, or prolly i'm just lazy to think)

So my conclusion is:

I should just be happy!! And I am not superficial!! :) Hehe.

Happy Racial Harmony Day!

Today was fun! I was late for school for the 1st time! (and i was in school at 7am by the way) We just took super long to change into our ethnic costumes. Everyone look so cute!! Especially Devi in her bright red cheongsum. (it's good she didn't wear it at night, in case ppl think it's a you-know-what. LOL.) Initially we have 14 ppl from our class wearing ethnic costumes, then during CT period HuiWen, CheeHui, Cindy and Yvonne wore them too, so it became almost the whole class wearing!

CheeHui thinks she looks like a tree! Cuz she was wearing this green top with NY skirt. And the whole class laughed! HuiWen looks like a milkmaid.

Yati's malay coustme is very nice, but it's like super bright la! And I feel so A.A. Hardcorers didnt wear, but I saw MuMMy in Malay costume too!

It's quite difficult to run, or even walk, in the ethnic costumes. Oh well, they're supposed to make one walk like a shu(2) nu(3) i guess. And we were late and ran into assembly immediately after the pledge taking. And it was well, hard to run. When we were doing nothing in CT period...

And we got new names!! Devi becomes Chun Li, Huimin become Shanti and me? Siti. Named by Devi aka Chun Li. It was quite fun. We made quite a din in the toilet when changing out of the costumes.

I'm supposed to be taking a picture of Devi in her Chun Li hairstyle, and HuiMin happens to be in the picture. Don't she just look like Olive from the cartoon Popeye? She looks absolutely like Olive in econs class when she tied her hair up! And speaking of which, Mrs Tay wore cheongsum too! And her cheongsum is super nice, it's white and very elegant. And she said her Dad bought it for her. Which is like weird. I'll b stunned if my dad bought me a cheongsum. Like quite -_- And Mrs Tan wore Indian costume too!

Last but not least, this is us taking a picture in the toilet (of all places!) before changing up. Devi did the 'twist' cuz she insist the picture very obscene. -.- My last Racial Harmony Day celebrated in school, and i had fun. Thanks 5A! =)

And the toilet door got information about some sea animals, i think for ppl to read in case they bored while waiting for the cubicle...

Anyway, i went back to MF for the campfire. I specially went back early to see Mr Fam la and... HE WASN'T THERE! Aiyoh.. 1 yr nv see him, he become slack le, go home so early. But i saw Mr Ng! And Ms Florence Ng! And the current MF Guides. They kind of look quite kiddish, I supposed tt was how i looked to others when i was in sec 1 or 2 ba. Lots (ok maybe not, around 30 only) went back for the campfire. This includes the very very very seniors (like 4 yr older than mi tt kind, now in Uni or working le), all the way to 1 yr my junior (dishan they all) tt batch of ppl. My batch of Guides got the most ppl coming back! *proud to say* but my chio bu senior aka wan jun mdm didnt come. I haven't seen her for like, uh, 3 years? I just remember she chio bu ma. Did some catching up with the ppl i havent seen since graduation (like Angeline). And my da bian junior Dishan is still as funny as ever, Kartika as guai as i remember her to be. And it's quite nice to get crazy for a while, but tire out quite easily. And i forgot to bring yan xiang's present!! argh. owe her since May de. hahaha.

I have been tagged by Kenny. -.- So here goes. 6 weird things about myself.

1) I love to travel and explore different parts of the world. But I'm not a risk-taker. Like, I would love visiting an ancient, unexplored pyramid but not bungeejump.

2) I treasure life. I hate people who commit suicide because I think people who commit suicide are very selfish.

3) I started making friends with my current best friends in the weirdest ways.

4) I have perfect eyesight but I used to wear spects in primary school.

5) I have a weird obsession with photos. I love taking photos and arranging them into a big album and decorating them.

6) I think I'm a lucky person. I think that's weird because peole keep complaining that they're unlucky. I think I'm lucky because things usually turn out fine for me, whatever problems I may face.

Interesting Facts from Devi

Fact 1: Humans are supposed to be vegeterians
Why? Look at the structure of human teeth. Mostly blunt (as in not sharp), only 2 sharp teeth by the side, which means humans are supposed to feed on plants, because there's no sharp teeth to tear food apart, unlike that of tiger or lion. The only function of our 'sharp' teeth (those 2) is supposed to be for biting thru thicker plants.

Fact 2: Evolution of humans may have started from fish
There was this fish fossil found some time ago, a fish with hands and legs (how weird is tt?) like those of humans. Hence human evolution may have began with fishes existing billions of years ago.
After explaining this fact, our Miss Devi happily sank her teeth into her fried fish from Long John's.

Fact 3: All humankind may have come from a black woman
Information provided by Mrs Tan. According to the Human Genome Project (or something), all genes are supposed to share a common gene, that of a black woman from god-knows-how-many-years ago. Question is, how did she get pregnant? Elyse has a theory:
ape+ape = ape
ape evolve = black woman
ape+black woman = man-ape
man-ape evolve = humans
How nice. So everyone's supposed to be black. Where does racism comes in?

Fact 4: There's a group of people who smoke marijuara and claim it's a religion
And they have a special feature: All of them haf funky hairstyle (literally, it's all the same). Come on, tell me which is more ridiculuous: this religion or the FLG people writing a letter to MM.

Conclusion: DEvi has weird facts.

I watched 'Just my Luck ' today. It was REALLY funny. Initially I didn't laugh alot, cuz like, quite exaggerated. Then comes the part where Lidsay Lohan put too much washing powder into the the washing machine. Then bubble starts sprouting. Then damm funny!! Cannot take it. I laugh like hell. Along with the rest of the cinema(a handful of ppl only). Elyse Devi and Huimin like talking n talking la! Then Huimin say I very quiet. Where got people in the movie keep toking de! [Or keep laughing at Superman and Lex Luthor for being jiao]

Guess who I ran into at the cinema? MuMMy and Josh n Dave n co. ! And the other 2 Humin-s! All the 3 Huimins I noe like all there. -.- They going to watch Scary Movie 4 which my Bro said was *mimick his irritating, mocking voice* "Full of shit!" Dunno if it's nice but the movies I watched recently were all not bad, like Garfield2, Superman and Just my luck. And we took the Cathay life up and down 3 times, on 3 different occasions, and we keep taking the same lift! Luck or what?

My mid-yrs are OVERRRRR!!! Apparently the trio thought I was grinning like a cheshire cat since the cher said "Ok, you may go now." And when Mrs Tay walk pass us, she asked "How was the paper? So happy ah?" We didn't dare to explain that we're happy cuz mid-yrs over, and not cuz we're confident in econs paper. And then we saw Grennie. And Devi had to remind us that our maths is screwed too. Huimin was super lucky. She went to use staff toilet while I went to dump books into sick bay. And when she's inside, Ms Gladys (Qihao's GP cher) just walk in! We were like "Omg, omg." outside. After a while, Ms Gladys walked out like nothing happened. Just after she went up the stairs did HuiMin come out. AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN NOE WHO WENT IN! That is so like, dots.

Awaiting death sentence for mid years. Meanwhile, I'm gonna enjoy!! =)

I dun noe y i'm updating again. I guess i'm just bored. So here goes...

My Dad mentioned something about a FaLun Gong member writing a letter to MM Lee. He showed me the piece of paper. The e version can be found here. Spare you readers the wordy passage, it's just some crap about how S'pore is helping China prosecute the FLG members, and so on. All in all, the letter is an a personal, biased viewpoint. I would haf tot a leader could write a better, more formal letter, since addressing the MM. I think Vinny can write better than that. Like, for example,

" If you did not trade Falun Gong for better relations with the CCP, practitioners would forgive your mistake with compassion and tolerance. Unfortunately, your behaviors during last more than one year are disappointing. Your trusted Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng slandered our truth-clarification activities. Foreign Minister Yong-Boon Yeo slandered Falun Gong to flatter the CCP. "

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.

They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything. She felt uncomfortable, she thought, "please, let me go home...." Suddenly he asked the waiter "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.

He replied: "When I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there".

While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story , the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life... After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Her tears made the letter totally wet.Someday, someone asked her: "What's the taste of salty coffee?" "It's sweet." she replied.

This isn't what you'd usually see on a sign in public places, especially at a place like the Singapore River. The other sign that came to my mind at that time was a poster i saw in lifts: "It's your private business, why do it in lifts?" Like you can take a shower in the middle of the Singapore River. Well, someone did. Guess who?

Which is like like quite lame. If it can save on the saliva it spits out everyday, it can prolly get a nice hot shower once everyday. From the Esplanade, I thought the Merlion swim away liao, cuz blocked by the big signs ma (tt says it's bathing) -.- and at night quite dark. Anyway, it was quite fun visiting the Merlion. Cuz Friday night, didn't expect many people to be around there. And we ran into tourist. And toddlers on the MRT. (cuter than Todds, no matter how cui might protest against this comment)

I shall post the lame poster here some other time, but please, an advise to all my blog reader, DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT learn from the Merlion and bathe in the Singapore River with your baby Merlion you bought at some souvenir shop. You might just get caught for indecent exposure.
