My worst reunion dinner ever

Seriously. This year's reunion dinner was screwed up. My family booked a table at the resturant at 8.30pm, and was told that we could 'come at 8pm, have some drinks, and wait for the dinner to start'. We reaches at 8.10pm and waited till 8.45pm to get seated on a clean table. The plates, chopsticks, etc aren't even laid. quite wth.

then the first dish arrived! Wow! at 9.15pm. and I didn't start eating till 10+, cuz apparently, all the dishes quite screwed up too.

1) yu sheng = raw fish = yucky

2) sharks fin (i love the sharks)

3) some vegeterian dish (everyone tot it tasted weird, half the plate was thrown away)

4) prawns in wine -_-

5) dunno wad fish (smells fishy--> pun intended)

9) chow mien! finally some edible food!

and my dad doesn't help my starving stomach by saying "not that she got nth to eat, is she dun wan to eat ma" wth la.. you know pretty well i'm very choosy when it comes to food, and you know pretty well what i eat and what i don't. order this type of dishes, wad do u expect me to eat lor.

then my bro (oh my wonderful bro! the one who suggested eating out cuz he's sick of steamboat every year) says we should have juz eaten at home. i replied him "i tot someone sick of eating steamboat wanna go out eat?" and he says "anything is better than this la!" see, even he agrees.

our oh-so-wonderful reunion dinner ended at like, 11pm. -_- it could have juz been a reunion supper. then my uncle drove me to pick chix to go chinatown. just in time! 4 mins till fireworks start. We didn't have to wait long and there was a good view! it was beautiful. Chinatown was crowded even till 2+am in the morning when we left.

Oh and the 4-way junctions were terrible! everyone wanna go diff direction and result = jam!! people at the back aren't helping by pushing and pushing. Some irritating people formed human chain and tried (with all their might!) to squeese thru a small gap between me and some other person. a gap so small, i doubt a housefly can fly thru. Me-the-pissed-off-one shot them a dirty look. pls lo! so buay zi dong.

thank goodness we managed to get a cab home quite easily. the surcharge kills thou. 50% la omg!

Hc outing on friday!

dave's and ren's birthday. pretty much the usual stuff. dinner at kfc. and i finally saw swee wei after like, 2 months!! oo! he looks kinda ok without hair la.. dave too. and swee become much fitter le! ren's hair like got no diff like that. juz abit shorter only.

anw, mummy is a teacher!! omg. she teaches history! history, of all things. -.- heard that her bunch of kids are hard to teach. act beng not beng. kinda disgusting. i told her she should forget about the teacher's-responsibility crap and get a better job. problem is, she likes teaching.

and shannen permed her hair!! i got a shock. von gave her a new nickname: medusa. hahahaha... and she traumatised a kid too!! poor kid.

mag, shuting, vinny, von and cui looks pretty much the same. cui looks extra poser in his long sleeve shirt (which we bought him for his birthday but neither von or i can recoginise) LOL.

after dinner, most of them went to serangoon gardens to look for josh and eat some very-nice ice cream. me, shuting and magg didnt go. i needed to rest cuz of the stupid flu.

Mache

The Todd and I went eating at Vivo's new Mache last Tuesday, thanks to a treat from Jess (who was standing at the salad counter slacking) Lol. Some pictures below:

But seriously, the ice cream is nice. But if it charges GST and Service Tax, I'd rather go to a resturant that serves me my food.
