I feel like changing my blogskin, but feeling quite lazy to. And not enough time. I'll be having chem prac (ewww...) followed by PE (double eww...)
ANTIBEAR ATTACKSS : KILL KILL KILL!! RAHSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The above is compliment of Elyse, my dear classmate who calls me 'bear'. Trust me, she has absolute nothing against Swee n Marcus. Really. To put it simply, she is just 'anti-eunice'. Don't ask me why. She's being weird.
I digressed. I wanted to blog last night, but I guess, got too tired. So here I am now. I was talking to Mr Policeman yesterday about perfection. I told him "Your ideal world is too prefect. It simply does not exist in this world." And we began a long debate about 'Perfectionism'.
What is perfect? Being poerfect is whereby one obey all rules, be the best person, a loyal friend, a filial child, a doting husband/wife, a diligent worker. but bottomline is, does such a person ever exist? Yes? Think again. Whatever one does, there is bound to be a conflict of interest somewhere. In such a situation, the 'perfect man' has no choice; he has to take a stand. What happens when one takes a stand? Yes, one side or other will be hurt. But that spoils the definition of a perfect man, because a perfect man is so perfect, he does not hurt anyone. Which means he is not perfect anymore.
"But to be perfect, humans must strive for perfection! Humans do not try hard enough, that's why there is no perfect world!"
My question is, Mr Policeman, how do you know that people haven't tried? In history, many tried to unite the world. Hitler fought a great war to create a so-called perfect world for Germans. But the world is NOT made up of Germans only. What about the Jews? The period of so-called 'perfection' was hell for them. So? There is no such thing as a perfect world for everyone! Utopia simply does not exist.
I remember some time ago, in some episodes of 'Charmed', The Charmed Ones tried to create Utopia: a world where there is no good and evil, where there are no demons to fight, where their children can grow up in peace. In the end, they failed. Why? Because there is and will always be conflict of interest. They were not wrong to eliminate the 'baddies' from the world, they are just trying to keep this world peaceful. But similarly, there is the issue of ethics. Is it morally correct to just delete someone from the surface of the Earth? Simply not. See my point? Utopia does not exist.
I shall end here, for as like any human, I am with flaws too. Hunger is driving me to the canteen. I can hear the chicken rice calling me from the canteen. I shall end with a quote from one of the most famous dog (nono, it's not Snoopy):
"A perfect world is a world with imperfections." ~Woofie: Elyse~
